Even though the traditional Mexican food is healthy, the most popular type of Mexican food (outside of Mexico) is the Americanized Mexican food knows as Tex-Mex food. This type of Mexican food is high on calories and fat and it is very popular in the United States, Canada, Europe and some parts of Asia.
