Mexican Wedding Cookie Recipe

Do you know any great Mexican American wedding cookie recipe?Lenora, NJ.

Dear Lenora, there are many Mexican cookie recipes that you can choose from.

Also, there are many American cookie recipes which means that there are even more Mexican American wedding cookies recipes that you can experiment with.

Our suggestion is the Chocolate Mexican wedding cookies that represent the mixture of the Mexican and American culture.

In other word there are two cultures in one cookie.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • cup of green colored powdered sugar (for rolling the cookies in)
  • cup of red colored powdered sugar (for rolling the cookies in)
  • cup of white powdered sugar (for rolling the cookies in)

    Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 373 F
  • Mix sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla (use the kitchen mixer)
  • Stir in flour and salt (use the kitchen mixer)
  • Stir in chocolate chips and nuts by hand (if you can)
  • Keep on mixing until the chocolate chips and the nuts are evenly dispersed. It is important that once you make the cookies each cookie has enough chocolate and nuts.
  • Separate the dough into small, round cookies (about two inches in diameter and an inch high) and place them two inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • bake for about 10 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the cookies in the oven for about 10 more minutes.
  • Take the cookies out of the oven and role them in the green, red and white powdered sugar.
  • Place them on the serving pan in this order: stripe of green, white and red.

This is the best Mexican wedding cookie recipe for your Mexican American wedding because these cookies are a true mixture of these two great cultures.
